Hetherington Newman is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Glossop.
You will be responsible for the accurate booking in, labelling, and management of goods, maintaining stock levels, preparing despatches, and supporting the wider operational team.
This is a hands-on, physical role involving manual handling, so applicants must be physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting and movement throughout the day.
Job Description / Key Responsibilities
· Book in and label all goods entering the business
· Maintain stores stock levels
· Co-ordinate the loading of the delivery van
· Pack and send out goods via courier and post
· Undertake monthly stock takes and send findings to the Director and Accountant
· Carry out Forklift Truck duties (training can be provided if required)
· Act as a caretaker for the building and facilities as needed
· Assist in the organisation of TBRs, in-house samples, and delivery schedules
· Provide cover for Drivers, Labourer, and Purchasing roles when required
Requirements
· Physically fit and able to carry out manual warehouse tasks
· Computer literate (essential)
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Good communication and teamwork skills
· Forklift experience beneficial (but training can be provided)
· Previous warehouse experience is helpful but not required
