Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and passionate individuals to join our bakery team. No culinary experience required - full on the job training will be provided. The delivery driver is key in ensuring Fera’s artisan products reach Orto Pizza and other partners safely, on time, and in perfect condition. Upon completion of deliveries, the successful candidate will aid with preparing our range of artisan bakery goods and other ad hoc tasks as required by the business
Key Responsibilities
- Complete daily delivery routes to Orto Pizza and other designated locations.
- Ensure all products are loaded, transported, and delivered safely and efficiently.
- Follow delivery schedules set by management.
- Communicate any delays, issues, or route changes promptly.
- Maintain delivery van cleanliness and records.
- Prepare and bake a variety of our products according to established recipes and standards.
- Organise and package prepared products for our customers.
- Assist in the food production process, ensuring efficiency and quality throughout.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.
- Collaborate with team members to create new menu items and improve existing recipes.
Skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence.
- Good time-keeping and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of baking processes and techniques is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
- Previous catering experience is advantageous, showcasing the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
