We are looking for a Test Technician to join our Christchurch team!
In this role, you will be responsible for creation and oversight of test programs for new and existing products, utilizing internal and external test facilities, to verify and validate that products meet technical requirements, strictly following the test schedules and procedures.

Your Challenge:
Investigate, repair and test product, fault finding to component level, these will be customer field returns and EOL production failures.
Document accurately the investigation process within our ERP system, detailing root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Plan and organise stock requirements against current jobs, identifying potential shortages against current lead times.
Act as point of contact for customer enquiries via email, phone or teams.
Creation of concise operating procedures that fully define rework & test requirements to enable completion of work without ambiguity.
Take ownership of the product allocated to you for testing and proactively seek resolution of any issues.
Ensure test specifications and operating procedures are strictly and efficiently adhered to.
Proactively support the TAS Manager to achieve on time completion of jobs against the rework schedule.
Adhere to our 6S housekeeping plan and Health & Safety requirements.
Support and liaise with other internal departments as required.
Your Expertise:
Time served Mechanical apprenticeship or City and Guilds part 3, or qualified to BTech level 3 (Mechanical) or higher
The ability to strictly follow internal procedures and accurately report test results
Capable of accurate and speedy diagnosis of faults to component level
Able to investigate and analyze problems and suggest solutions
IT literate
A self-motivated team player; able to operate with the minimum of supervision and communicate clearly with employees at all levels
Demonstrates enthusiasm, pace and energy
Suggests ideas, commits to seeing through activities despite setbacks and obstacles
Willing to travel within UK when required
