Job Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Bar Staff to join our vibrant team. This role involves providing exceptional service to customers in a lively beer orientated bar environment, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, knowledge of the industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Serve drinks and food to customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take orders accurately and efficiently using the bar POS system
- Ensure all beverages are prepared according to standard recipes and safety guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age and adhere to alcohol licensing laws
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately, providing correct change when necessary
- Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy periods
- Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and creating a welcoming environment
Skills
- Proven experience in hospitality or serving roles is preferred; additional training will be provided for the right candidate
- Knowledge of food safety standards and responsible alcohol service practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with customers of diverse backgrounds
- Good organisational skills with an aptitude for multitasking in a fast-paced setting
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to ensure prompt service during busy hours
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and holiday periods as required
- A friendly demeanour with a professional attitude towards customer care
