Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. We are located at the heart of Glastonbury and have a lovely pub/restaurant with 6 accommodation rooms.
The ideal candidate must be flexible and be available to work 5 days per week between Monday to Sunday between the hours of approximately 9am and 2pm depending how busy we are.
You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness of the rooms, ensuring a high standard of hygiene and presentation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cleanliness and customer service to contribute to a welcoming and professional atmosphere. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitise bedrooms & bathrooms
- Change bed linens and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
- Maintain organisation of storage areas and cleaning supplies
- Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards
- Assist with laundry duties as required
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience in hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organisational skills with an eye for detail
- Excellent customer service abilities with a friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and requirements
