Responsibilities
- Safely load and unload shipments using forklifts and other mechanical tools, ensuring proper handling of all materials
- Operate warehouse management systems to track inventory, update stock levels, and process shipments accurately
- Manage materials handling tasks, including sorting, stacking, and organizing products within the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties by preparing orders for dispatch or receipt, verifying contents against documentation
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Support construction or maintenance projects within the warehouse as needed, applying mechanical knowledge when required
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and efficiency throughout the facility
Qualifications
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in materials handling and shipping & receiving procedures
- Valid forklift certification with demonstrated ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently
- Experience working with warehouse management systems or similar inventory software
- Mechanical knowledge or construction experience is a plus for troubleshooting equipment or assisting with maintenance tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate order fulfillment
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
