We’re offering individuals the opportunity to develop their skills and progress their careers through our Marine Systems & Compliance apprenticeship. Over two years, you’ll gain practical experience, build specialist knowledge, and work towards a recognised qualification - Digital Technology: Data Analytics SCQF Level 6.
We will hold our assessment day for this role on Friday 17th July at the Port of Grangemouth, where you will have the chance to meet some of the team and to find out more about the role and the apprenticeship. We will be in touch before then to let you know if you have been selected to attend.
About The Role
What you will learn:
In this role, you will develop valuable skills in data analytics, digital systems, and compliance while working within a dynamic marine operations environment. You will learn how to extract, organise, analyse, and present operational data to support business performance and decision-making. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will gain hands-on experience using data tools such as Excel and Power BI, improving data quality, creating reports and visualisations, and supporting system improvements and automation projects. You will also gain exposure to marine systems, compliance processes, document control, and user testing activities, building a strong foundation in both digital technology and the maritime industry while working towards a Diploma in Digital Technology: Data Analytics.

What are we looking for?

A minimum of three National 5 qualifications including Nat 5 Maths, Nat 5 English and Nat 5 in Technical Subject

Strong interest in data analytics, systems and technology

Good numerical and analytical skills

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Basic knowledge of Excel and working with data

Good communication and teamwork skills

Interest in data visualisation tools for example Power BI

Individuals who are able to demonstrate a genuine interest in the work that we do at the port, and are looking to build valuable skills for your future career
