Job Summary
Reporting directly to the Catering Manager
Term time only 38 weeks role for a catering assistant in a high school. Experience preferred in food preparation and working as a team.
We are seeking a dedicated Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of high-quality catering services.. The Catering Assistant will be responsible for assisting with food service, preparation, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained throughout all operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and presentation to meet quality standards
- Serve school meals efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the catering area, including equipment and utensils
- Support in setting up and clearing dining areas
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene practices at all times
- Replenish supplies as needed during service periods
- Provide excellent customer services by attending to our customers needs promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during service periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant environments is desirable
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures desirable although training will be provided.
- Experience in food preparation and serving is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour when interacting with our customers
- A professional attitude with a focus on customer satisfaction and teamwork
