Overview
We are seeking reliable and professional Self Employed Private Hire Taxi Drivers to provide Five Star transportation services to the people of Gloucestershire and surrounding areas. This role offers flexible working arrangements, allowing you to operate around your own schedule whilst still being available at peak times to ensure customer demand is met. We will provide you with a Vehicle, insurance and cover all fuel and maintenance costs. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to safety (of passengers especially) and being responsible with the vehicle provided .
Duties
- Safely operate the vehicle provided to transport passengers or goods in accordance with legal and company standards.
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring passengers feel comfortable and valued during their journey.
- Maintain the cleanliness and good condition of your vehicle through regular cleaning and basic maintenance checks.
- Manage your schedule effectively to meet client bookings and appointments as well as peak-time rush.
- Assist with heavy lifting when necessary, such as loading or unloading luggage.
- Communicate clearly with operators and customers.
- Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations at all times during driving activities
Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
- Aged 25+ for insurance purposes
- a Valid Gloucester, Tewkesbury or Cheltenham Private Hire Driver license. If you haven't already then you will need to apply. a medical check, safeguarding training and DBS Enhanced background check will be required.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and coordinate efficiently]
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance basics to ensure the vehicle remains in good working order
- Self-motivated with organisational skills to manage your own schedule effectively
- Flexibility to work during peak hours Mon-Fri (7am-10am)(12pm-6pm) including weekends and evenings if desired
