Job Description:
TW Engineering is continuing to grow, and we are looking for an experienced Internal Sales Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role supporting a large portfolio of tools and consumables, working closely with customers, suppliers and manufacturers to provide quotations, source products, process orders and resolve queries. A strong knowledge of hand tools, power tools and consumables is essential, along with previous experience in a sales or customer-focused environment.
Internal Sales Assistant - duties will include but are not limited to:
- Liaise with customers, suppliers, manufacturers, and our own internal manufacturing site regarding orders.
- Assist customers with questions and produce quotes for customers in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ability to source products direct from manufacturers in UK and abroad.
- Ability to assist in a tender process and help complete documentation.
- Other related duties from time to time. Such as occasional customer visits / review meetings.
Successful candidates will have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in an internal sales, sales support, customer service or similar commercial role is essential. Experience within the tools, MRO, industrial, engineering or construction sectors would be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of hand and power tools is essential
- Have a high level of attention to detail; especially being able to work accurately at speed in a fast-paced environment as well as meeting deadlines
- Be a confident user of Microsoft Office products with a high skill level in MS Excel including pivot tables and x and v lookups.
- Experience of working with Sage 200 or equivalent.
- Be able to work well within in a small team yet be able to work using their own initiative.
- A proactive and commercially minded approach, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and use initiative.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple customer enquiries, quotations and orders while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
This is a full-time role working from 8.00am to 4.30pm from Monday to Thursday, 8.00am to 3.30pm Friday, in a small, friendly team. In return, we will pay you a competitive rate of pay dependent upon experience.
