Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and attentive Spotter to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to assist with vehicle movements and ensure safety on-site by providing clear visual guidance to drivers. Duties
- Provide visual signals and guidance to lorry drivers during manoeuvres, including reversing and parking
- Maintain clear communication with drivers using hand signals or radio devices
- Assist with the safe movement of vehicles within designated areas, ensuring no hazards are present
- Monitor surroundings for potential safety risks and report any concerns promptly
- Support with general site safety procedures and compliance protocols
- Ensure that all vehicle movements are conducted in accordance with company policies and safety standards
Qualifications
- Prior experience in a similar role or in logistics, construction, or warehouse environments is advantageous but not essential
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills; able to give clear instructions using hand signals or radio communication
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy environment
- Physically fit, with the capacity to remain alert during long periods of duty
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to vehicle movement and site operations
