The Leytonstone Tavern is an award-winning neighbourhood dining pub in East London, renowned for our welcoming atmosphere, incredible burgers and tacos, legendary Sunday roasts, and commitment to supporting local breweries & independent producers.
We're looking for an enthusiastic and dependable Kitchen Porter to join our ambitious kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of one of East London's most exciting independent hospitality businesses, working alongside passionate chefs using exceptional seasonal produce.

At The Leytonstone Tavern, hospitality comes first. Alongside our busy restaurant and bar, we host weddings, celebrations, tequila tastings, beer festivals, BBQs and bespoke events, while our award-winning food trucks appear at festivals and events throughout the summer.

What You'll Be Doing
- Washing dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment efficiently throughout service.
- Keeping all kitchen areas clean, organised and fully compliant with food hygiene standards.
- Assisting chefs with basic food preparation when required.
- Receiving and organising deliveries, rotating stock and keeping storage areas tidy.
- Emptying bins and maintaining waste and recycling areas.
- Supporting the kitchen team during busy services to ensure smooth operations.
- Helping maintain a safe, clean and efficient working environment at all times.
- Taking pride in ensuring the kitchen is always ready for service.
What We're Looking For
You'll be someone who enjoys working hard, takes pride in their work and thrives as part of a team.
Ideally you'll have:
✔ Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter
✔ A positive attitude and willingness to learn
✔ Strong work ethic and reliability
✔ Good organisational skills and attention to detail
✔ Ability to work efficiently under pressure
✔ Understanding of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
✔ A flexible approach to evenings and weekends
✔ A genuine team-player who enjoys supporting others
