We are looking for dedicated Counselling Lecturers to join our growing team. In this role, you will work alongside experienced and passionate colleagues who are seeking to inspire and guide learners through their counselling training.
Canta Training is intent on developing counsellors committed to delivering excellent client care, and we are looking for colleagues who see their role as trainers in this light.
We provide an engaging learning environment, encourage students to develop themselves and their counselling techniques, communication skills, and professional ethics at every training level.
Initially on a sessional basis, we are seeking lecturers with experience teaching CPCAB Level 2, 3 and 4 courses as we grow our training provision and have new courses starting in September in person, in Market Harborough.
Duties
- Deliver engaging lectures and practical sessions on counselling theories, techniques, and ethical practices
- Assess student progress through assignments, presentations, and experiential learning
- Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to support student growth and confidence
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the quality of our training and contribute to developing new approaches to delivering training
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and learner performance
Experience
- Current experience in counselling practice with a strong understanding of counselling methodologies
- Prior teaching experience in an academic or professional setting is highly desirable and experience of delivering CPCAB courses is advantageous
- Candidates will have to have their CV approved by CPCAB prior to starting teaching
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and engagingly
- Familiarity with IT tools used in educational settings and counselling practice
- Strong organisational skills to manage curriculum planning, student assessments, and administrative tasks
- Ability to inspire students through energetic teaching methods and positive engagement

Sessional lecturers are paid for one hour of marking/preparation/admin time for each hour of teaching completed.
Pay: £20.00-£30.00 per hour
