Duties
- Conduct structured swim lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety practices clearly and confidently
- Assess each participant’s progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support improvement
- Maintain a safe swimming environment by enforcing pool rules and monitoring all participants during lessons
- Prepare lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and adapt activities to meet individual needs
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians about their child's progress and safety considerations
- Assist with pool maintenance checks and ensure all safety equipment is in place and functional
Qualifications
- Proven experience teaching swimming or water safety skills, preferably with certification from a recognised aquatic organisation
- Strong knowledge of water safety protocols, rescue techniques, and first aid procedures
- Excellent communication skills to motivate learners and clearly demonstrate techniques
- Ability to work outdoors or in indoor pool environments while maintaining high energy levels
- Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is highly preferred
- Enthusiastic attitude with a passion for teaching and promoting water safety among diverse populations
