Join Our Team as a Domestic Abuse Intervention Worker!
Do you want to be part of a real change, where your work helps break cycles and build safer futures for individuals and families?
As a Domestic Abuse Intervention Worker within the Positive Choices Team, you will play a vital role in early intervention, supporting individuals who are causing harm to recognise, take responsibility for, and change their behaviour – always keeping the safety and wellbeing of victim-survivors and children at the heart of what you do.
Working across North Yorkshire and the City of York, you’ll delivery both one to one and group interventions, using a range of tools and techniques to challenge harmful behaviours and support positive lasting outcomes.
You will also work collaboratively with key partner, including the Police, Children’s Social Care, statutory services, and the Victim Liaison Officers. By building strong professional relationships, you will contribute to a coordinated, multi-agency approach that supports victim-survivors and families.
We are looking for someone who has:

A commitment to supporting people affected by domestic abuse.
- Experience working alongside social workers and other professionals across statutory and voluntary organisations
- An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities for vulnerable adults
