Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Cleaner to join our team. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards two commercial premises. The ideal candidate will have previous janitorial experience and a proactive approach to ensuring environments are safe, tidy, and welcoming. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment with a focus on quality and professionalism. The cleaning rota will be 4 hours daily at one site and 2 hours twice a week at the second site.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming of designated areas
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces to high standards
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet rolls as needed
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and effectively
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
- There will be an opportunity for additional hours if you are interested, to occasionally clean vacant units where required.
Skills
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good organisational skills and reliability
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
