Our client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Engineer to join their dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Mechanical Design Engineering and be proficient in designing full turnkey solutions from a blank page. Expertise in AutoCAD and SolidWorks is essential for this role.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for mechanical components, assemblies, and systems
- Develop comprehensive turnkey solutions for complex engineering projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability
- Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and data to produce accurate technical drawings
- Maintain and organise drawing files, ensuring proper version control and documentation
- Perform design calculations and analysis to support engineering decisions
- Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for projects
- Assist in the development of project timelines and cost estimates
- Participate in design reviews and provide input on potential improvements
- Stay updated with the latest industry standards and best practices in mechanical design
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Design Engineer or similar role
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Experience in designing full turnkey solutions from concept to completion
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precise measurements
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Happy to travel internationally
