About the Role
Justteachers are seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to support a secondary school in Harrogate. The successful candidate will supervise students across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring a productive learning environment during teacher absences. This role is ideal for graduates considering a future in teaching or individuals with experience working with young people. You will have the opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience while developing behaviour management and leadership skills within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
- Supervise students and maintain classroom discipline.
- Ensure pupils remain engaged in learning activities.
- Follow school policies and procedures.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support the wider school community when required.
Requirements
- Experience working with young people.
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
- Confidence managing groups of students.
- Reliable and professional approach.
- Ability to adapt to different classroom environments.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
