Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to stock management, materials handling, and equipment operation. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Good communication and listening skills to be able to deal customer enquiries and collections.
Responsibilities
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Manage stock levels by accurately picking, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch.
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain an organised warehouse environment by following established procedures for materials handling.
- Good communication with both team members, customers and suppliers.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets and maintain high standards of safety.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with picking and packing processes is advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- A proactive approach to safety and adherence to health regulations within the workplace.
- Good communication at the trade counter with customers.
- Basic IT skills.
