We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Lawrence Vets on a part-time basis.
Lawrence Vets is a long-established practice on the Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire border with great access to the countryside and surrounding area. We are a friendly team, and pride ourselves on delivering exceptional patient and client care with a strong focus on maintaining high clinical standards, which we continually strive to develop and enhance.
We have an amazing practice located in Eastwood that underwent an extensive refurbishment 3 years ago. We now have a dedicated cat only clinic that sits alongside our main surgery we also have a dental suite, imaging suite, separate isolation facilities, laboratory room and have certificate holders in cardiology and feline medicine alongside a wealth of experience throughout the team.
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences.
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice.
Working Pattern
- Part-time role working every Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Shift patterns vary and are worked on a rota basis.
- Participation in the weekend rota is required.
- Current weekend commitment is 1 in 6 Saturday mornings, working 8:30am–1:00pm.

We’re looking for a confident and motivated Registered Veterinary Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and delivering high standards of care. You’ll bring:
- Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
- Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
- A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
