Summary
We are seeking a Cook or Chef to join our caring team at Peasmarsh Place in the countryside of GB. Located in a tranquil country house surrounded by 10 acres of parkland, this role is vital in delivering delicious, nutritious meals that enhance our residents' well-being and happiness.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook nutritious meals tailored to the dietary needs of elderly residents.
- Ensure food safety standards are strictly followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.
- Collaborate with care staff to accommodate specific dietary requirements.
- Manage stock levels and order supplies as needed.
- Support the delivery of high-quality culinary experiences within a care environment.
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a healthcare or elderly care setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet residents’ needs.
- Previous experience in restaurant or catering services is advantageous.
