Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. The ideal candidate will assist with meal preparation, food safety, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment. Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and basic dishes under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times
- Help with inventory management by organising supplies and notifying of stock shortages
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner when required
- Support the team during busy periods, ensuring smooth kitchen operations at all times
- Days required, Thursday, Fridays and Sundays
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable
- Strong understanding of food preparation and kitchen safety procedures
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic culinary skills including meal preparation and food handling
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly attitude towards colleagues and customers
