Honister Slate Mine is England’s last working slate mine and one of the Lake District’s most unique visitor attractions. Alongside our mining heritage, we offer a range of adventure activities, welcoming thousands of visitors each year to experience the mountain environment.
Summary
We are seeking a Bus Driver to join our team at Honister. Located at the top of Honister Pass, this role is vital in ensuring smooth transportation for our visitors and maintaining the safety and functionality of our facilities. Your work will help us deliver unforgettable experiences aligned with our commitment to adventure and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate the company bus to transport visitors up and down the mountain.
- Ensure all transportation activities comply with safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with visitors and team members to ensure a positive experience.
- Support the organisation of outdoor activities when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas and vehicles.
Qualifications
- Valid clean driving license.
- Proven experience as a bus driver or in a similar transportation role.
- Strong communication skills in English.
- Experience in maintenance or handyman tasks is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Customer service-oriented attitude.

This Role is 5 days per week, Wednesday - Sunday, for the right candidate 2 days per week, Saturday/Sunday may be considered.
