4 days on 4 days off 12 hour shifts
How rare is it to get an opportunity where you get to do what you love as a job? Do you love animals?
Every day is different here, we get to experience the English weather in all its glory and you will need to love that too! The animals and their welfare and enrichment are our top priority, so you need to be totally reliable and conscientious. This role is so varied and busy that the days pass in a flash. We can’t pretend it’s not hard graft but then you will know that as looking after animals always is and we really care about what we do and how we do it.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a top-class team, caring and nurturing for all the animals in our care. We always aim to promote from within so future progression is more than possible together with the opportunity to grow and develop as we actively support further qualifications in animal welfare, customer service and management.
No experience is necessary although we would obviously love any extra expertise to add to our knowledgeable team. You will need to be capable and confident, and a good degree of fitness is a bit of a must as and you will be walking, a lot! Also, your own transport is essential as we are out in the sticks (and that’s why the animals and the team love it here) and there are no public transport links.
Our past team members have gone on to lead the way with working with detection dogs, managing rescue and rehabilitation centres, further education in animal behaviour and independent dog training to name a few.
