Job Summary
Do you have a love for art? we are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Shop Assistant to join our team. Our beautiful shop contains elegant artisan homewear, boutique gifts and and delicious chocolates. In this role, you will be the friendly face of our hotel’s retail area, assisting guests with their purchases, providing excellent service, and ensuring the shop runs smoothly. Your energy and organizational skills will help create a welcoming environment that encourages guest satisfaction and repeat visits.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with selecting products or souvenirs from the shop
- Process sales transactions accurately
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the retail space to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Upsell additional products or services to enhance customer experience and increase sales
- Manage stock levels, restock shelves, and assist with inventory counts
Skills
- Strong communication skills to engage confidently with customers and team members
- Excellent organizational skills for stock management and maintaining shop presentation
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
- Time management abilities to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods
- Merchandising knowledge to display products attractively and promote sales effectively

Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
