What is expected from me?
As a time served pipe welder you will have an important role within the business to stay professional throughout your contract delivering to the highest standard ensuring Safety, Health and Environmental regulations are followed.
Job Description
- A skilled person who is assigned to fabricate, assemble and/or install parts of a ship, dependant on their trade, with the aim of delivering the best product possible.
- Welding different materials (carbon & stainless steel & aluminium) that make up the ship structure using different welding processes
- TIG (GTAW) pipe welder with experience of 6G (HL045) in CuNi, Stainless Steel & Mild Carbon Steel pipe materials.
Requirements
- Qualifications & Compliance: Holds a full Engineering Modern Apprenticeship, trade papers
- Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and or at height
- Safety certification i.e. SHE Induction, COSHH Awareness, working at height etc
