Internal Sales
Description
We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Internal Sales Officer to join our growing team in the motorcycle industry.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building customer relationships, supporting sales growth, and working with products they can genuinely get behind. You will play a key role in managing inbound enquiries, supporting trade customers, processing orders, and helping the business deliver an excellent sales experience from first contact through to aftersales support.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming sales enquiries by phone, email, and online channels in a professional and timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with dealers, trade customers, retail clients, and suppliers.
- Prepare quotations, process sales orders, and follow up on outstanding opportunities.
- Provide accurate product information on motorcycles, parts, accessories, clothing, and related services.
- Support the external sales team with lead generation, customer follow-ups, and account administration.
- Maintain accurate customer records, pricing details, and order information using internal systems.
- Monitor stock availability, delivery times, and back orders, keeping customers updated throughout the sales process.
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities where appropriate.
- Work closely with the warehouse, service, accounts, and purchasing teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
- Help resolve customer queries, returns, and aftersales issues in a positive and solution-focused way.
The ideal candidate will be confident, organised, and customer-focused, with a genuine interest in the motorcycle industry.
You will have:
- Previous experience in internal sales, customer service, telesales, parts sales, or account support.
- Good knowledge of motorcycles, motorcycle parts, accessories, or the wider automotive sector.
- Strong communication skills and a professional telephone manner.
- The ability to build rapport with customers and provide practical, accurate advice.
- Good attention to detail when processing orders, quotes, and customer information.
- Confidence using CRM systems, stock systems, email, and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive attitude with the ability to follow up leads and spot sales opportunities.
- The ability to work well as part of a team in a busy, fast-moving environment.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working with motorcycle dealers, distributors, workshops, or aftermarket suppliers.
- Knowledge of motorcycle brands, models, parts catalogues, or accessories.
- Experience with ecommerce sales, online enquiries, or trade account management.
- A full motorcycle licence or genuine passion for riding.
