Overview
CDM Recruit are building a high calibre workforce of experienced Riggers for upcoming major industrial and energy sector projects across the North West, including carbon capture, process plant, heavy mechanical installation and related infrastructure works.
We are looking to engage disciplined operatives who understand the standards expected on large scale projects where lifting operations, coordination, safety and compliance must be managed to a very high level.
Key Responsibilities
- Move, position and install mechanical equipment, structural items, pipework modules and associated materials
- Support lifting activities in line with approved lift plans, site procedures and supervisor instructions
- Work closely with crane operators, lifting supervisors, slingers and mechanical installation teams
- Ensure lifting accessories and rigging arrangements are used appropriately and safely
- Maintain strong standards of housekeeping, communication and task discipline during live operations
- Support installation, shutdown, turnaround and major project works where required
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Rigger within industrial, construction, mechanical or heavy engineering environments
- Valid CCNSG Safety Passport or CSCS card
- Strong understanding of lifting operations, exclusion control and safe systems of work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a coordinated site team
- Relevant qualifications, certifications and competency evidence available prior to engagement
Compliance and Verification
CDM Recruit are positioning for major projects where compliance standards are non negotiable. All cards, certificates, qualifications and competency evidence must be provided and will be verified prior to engagement.
Suitable applicants may also be asked to provide references, recent project history and supporting evidence relevant to the discipline advertised before progressing to client review or mobilisation.

These roles form part of our upcoming project pipeline, with start dates subject to client confirmation and mobilisation schedules.
Rates and working arrangements will be discussed with suitable candidates based on project scope, shift pattern, qualifications and proven experience.
