Job Summary
Job Descriptions: A small block of 16 flats in Highgate North London seeking a Caretaker / Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, repairs, and general safety of the building. This is a part-time, zero hours, ad hoc role that is dependent on an as-needed basis. Some months may only have a couple of tasks while others may require more if a major project is required.
Responsibilities
- This role combines arranging, supervising and coordination of any external contractors. For example, you will call contractors to come fix, you would supervise them when they are on site.
- Optionally, perform routine and minor building maintenance - up to you and your skills
- Act as first point of call from a single member of resident board - they will call you to advise you of something to be fixed
- For rare major works, you would act as supervisor, coordinate and manage outside contractors, scaffolders etc.
- Ensure that all work complies with health and safety standards and local building codes.Qualifications
- Some experience in residential property maintenance or facilities management - you might be retired looking for additional job and income
- Working knowledge of basic repairs across plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize multiple tasks
- Good communication skills and professional demeanor with residents and contractors.
- Ideally local to the Highgate North London area - within 20 minutes drive or transport
- Flexible schedule depending on tenant needs and weather conditions.
- Position may include occasional weekend or evening work.
Pay: £100.00-£300.00 per month
