Business Development Executive / Acquisition Executive
Location: Leeds (Hybrid Working – 3 Days Office / 2 Days Home)
Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 Basic Salary + Uncapped Quarterly Commission
Hours: 37.5 Hours per Week

Due to continued business growth, we are looking for a highly motivated and driven Business Development Executive to join our expanding team in Leeds. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying and engaging with business owners who may be considering selling their businesses, building trusted relationships, and supporting them through the early stages of our acquisition process.
We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised, solutions-focused and eager to contribute to a growing business where performance and results are recognised and rewarded.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead Generation & Relationship Building
- Identifying and researching business owners and company shareholders who may be considering selling their businesses through LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry-specific portals, networking opportunities and other lead-generation methods.
- Conducting outbound calls to prospective sellers to book discovery and in-depth meetings.
- Building strong rapport and nurturing relationships with business owners throughout the sales journey.
- Managing LinkedIn outreach campaigns and lead-generation activities through Dripify.
- Creating follow-up activities and maintaining regular communication with prospective sellers, ensuring they remain engaged throughout the process.
CRM & Database Management
Replace with:
- Uploading and maintaining seller and prospect information within HubSpot.
- Ensuring all seller data is accurate, complete and consistently maintained.
- Updating prospect statuses, deal stages and workflows within HubSpot.
- Creating targeted prospect lists for marketing campaigns and coordinating with the marketing team.
- Documenting processes and maintaining accurate records within the CRM.
Pipeline Management
- Working closely with the Head of Sales to manage and progress prospective sellers through the acquisition pipeline.
- Scheduling discovery and in-depth meetings with business owners interested in exploring a potential sale.
- Maintaining regular communication with sellers, chasing information and ensuring momentum is maintained throughout the process.
- Ensuring all stakeholders have the relevant information and documentation ahead of meetings.

Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Previous experience in sales, business development, lead generation or a similar commercial role.
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Highly Desirable:
- Previous experience using HubSpot CRM.
- Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
- Experience engaging with business owners, founders or senior decision-makers.
