Senior Packer/Slicer
At the Flour Pot Bakery, we are committed to delivering exceptional baked goods to Brighton, Hove, Worthing, and the surrounding areas in Sussex. As the Senior Packer/Slicer at Flour Pot Bakery, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and accurate packaging of our freshly baked goods. You will assist in the responsibility of helping lead a team of packers, maintaining packaging standards, and collaborating with other departments to meet production goals. The ideal candidate should have excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Please note, this role is based on late evening/early hours of the morning based rotas. You must be able to independently travel to and from work.
Example shifts include:
5pm - 12am
7:30pm - 3:30am
Key Responsibilities and Tasks:
Collaborate with the production team to ensure a smooth transition from baking to packaging
Oversee the proper packaging of various baked goods, including bread, vien and pastry
Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all products meet Flour Pot Bakery's standards
Conduct regular inspections of packaged goods to identify and address any quality issues
Collaborate with the Lead Packer/Slicer to ensure that packaging materials always maintain the par levels of stock
Provide thorough daily handovers to the Bakery management team and Lead Packer/Slicer
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
Knowledge of a previous bakery operation – desirable
Strong organisational and time-management skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

To have a flexible attitude towards working hours and willing to assist in all areas of the operation
