The role focuses on achieving sales targets, maintaining high workshop standards, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the autocentre.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the workshop and front-of-house teams.
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Drive sales and profitability by promoting products and services.
- Ensure efficient workshop scheduling and productivity.
- Monitor stock levels and control costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Conduct staff performance reviews, coaching, and training.
- Build relationships with local businesses and customers to increase repeat business.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous management experience in the automotive industry.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Commercial awareness with the ability to achieve sales targets.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good understanding of vehicle servicing, tyres, brakes, MOTs, and repairs.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager supports the Centre Manager in delivering excellent customer service, achieving business objectives, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. The role combines customer-facing responsibilities with workshop coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Centre Manager in daily operations.
- Supervise workshop staff and assist with workload planning.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and handle customer enquiries.
- Assist in achieving sales and performance targets.
- Ensure workshop efficiency and quality standards are maintained.
- Manage stock and ordering when required.
- Maintain health and safety standards.
- Act as Centre Manager during periods of absence.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience within the automotive service or fast-fit industry.
- Supervisory or team leader experience preferred.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Good knowledge of vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Service Technician
Job Title: Service Technician
Location: Formula One Autocentres
Role Overview
The Service Technician is responsible for carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections, and repairs to manufacturer and company standards while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle servicing and routine maintenance.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults.
- Carry out repairs including brakes, suspension, steering, batteries, exhausts, and tyres.
- Complete vehicle health checks and identify additional repair opportunities.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Maintain accurate service records and job documentation.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Support colleagues in maintaining workshop efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent).
- Experience working as a vehicle technician or mechanic.
- Knowledge of diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- MOT Tester qualification.
- Hybrid and electric vehicle certification.
- Experience in a fast-fit or franchised dealership environment.

Pay: £27,000.00-£36,000.00 per year
