Applicants who do not meet the essential criteria will be considered under the Annex 21 training programme, where whilst undergoing training, they will be paid a 75 % of the top of Band 4 and on completion of training will then move on to Band 4 scale.

To act as a member of the care team under the supervision of registered NMAHP Practitioner.

To assist patients to achieve their care and rehabilitation goals.

Provide support and evidence based care by assisting the planning, implementing, delivery and evaluation of care

Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified area of care delivery.

Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, person centred safe and effective care

Apply knowledge and skills, gained through formal training, in relation to direct patient care in support of and supervised by a registered NMAHP practitioner, ensuring delivery of high quality of care,

Delivers direct patient care with compassion, to a delegated clinical caseload of patients whose treatment follows a clear plan of care / clinical protocol.

Obtains consent for interventions or investigations.

Effectively monitors the patient’s condition, recognising and changes / deterioration in their physical or mental condition and liaises with the registered NMAHP practitioner in a timely manner to review and reassess care / treatment needs

Plan and prioritise patient care within delegated caseload, and contribute to care planning and review.

Contributes to the ongoing assessment of the patient, providing information to inform assessments and discussion in regard to any plan of care with the registered NMAHP practitioner

Formal qualification at SVQ 3 Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.

Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.

Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.

Ability to apply a range of technical and practical skills.

Car driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
