Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Part-time PMO Manager to join our organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing project portfolios, ensuring effective governance, and supporting project teams across multiple initiatives. This role is ideal for a professional with strong leadership skills, extensive project management experience, and the ability to manage complex programmes within a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage project management office (PMO) functions, including governance, reporting, and compliance across various projects.
- Oversee project lifecycle activities, from requirements gathering to delivery, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
- Facilitate root cause analysis to identify issues impacting project performance and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and supervise project managers and team members, fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Utilise project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, and Smartsheet to plan, monitor, and report on project progress.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation using tools like SharePoint, Confluence, and ServiceNow for transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Conduct data analysis to support decision-making processes related to project scope, schedule, costs, and risks.
- Ensure adherence to methodologies such as SAFe, Waterfall, and utilise tools like Primavera P6 for scheduling.
- Coordinate requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders and translate business needs into actionable project plans.
- Support product management activities including content management systems and product development initiatives.
- Drive organisational efficiency through effective time management, resource allocation, and cost control measures.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in a PMO or similar leadership role within complex organisational environments.
- Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide cross-functional teams.
- Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies including SAFe, Waterfall, and Agile frameworks.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, Smartsheet, Workday, Basecamp, Confluence, SharePoint, ServiceNow, SAS, and Project Server.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills with the capacity to present complex information clearly through reports and presentations using Visio or similar tools.
- Experience in requirements gathering and product management processes.
- Data analysis skills with familiarity in content management systems and product development environments.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
