Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting well-being, independence, and dignity for those in their care. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Support with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
- Help clients with medication reminders and basic health monitoring as required
- Maintain accurate care plans tailored to individual needs and preferences
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life
- Assist with light domestic tasks such as laundry and cleaning to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
- Support clients in attending appointments or outings, including driving when necessary
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
Skills
- Driving licence is essential for supporting home care visits and outings
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt support according to individual needs
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, for clear communication
- Basic IT skills for updating records and documentation accurately
- Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to assist others and improve their quality of life
