Kitchen Person / Chef – Help Shape Our Growing Offering
We're looking for a passionate and creative Kitchen Person / Chef to join our bakery team and play a key role in developing and growing our menu offering.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who genuinely loves food, enjoys working with seasonal ingredients, and wants the freedom to contribute and help shape our menu.
About the Role
You'll be responsible for preparing and delivering a fresh, seasonal offering, bringing creativity, consistency, and enthusiasm to everything you do. We're looking for someone who is proactive, organised, and happy to take ownership while working closely with the wider bakery team.
As a small, hands-on business, everyone gets involved, so you'll also have the opportunity to learn and support other areas of production including bread, pastries, and cakes.
We're Looking For Someone Who:
- Has experience working in a professional kitchen
- Loves food and has a creative flair for seasonal menu development
- Is proactive and able to work independently
- Is a strong team player with a positive attitude
- Takes pride in quality, presentation, and consistency
- Is willing to get involved across all areas of the bakery
- Is available to work weekends

About Missing Bean
We are a Speciality Coffee Roasters born in Oxford in 2009. Since then, we’ve grown in size with 7 cafes alongside our Coffee Roastery, Chocolate and Bakery in East Oxford, which operate 7 days a week. We’re passionate about quality coffee, great food, sustainability and creating a welcoming space for our community and staff. Our cafés are built around genuine people, good food and proper coffee.
