Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie who is looking to learn how to run a pub kitchen and manage the back of house operation alongside our owner who is currently the main chef but looking to step away from the kitchen and manage the business from a more overall perspective.
This is a great role if you are looking to take ownership and responsibility of a kitchen.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist in the organisation of the kitchen, including maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and service.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages to the kitchen manager.
- Help in the training of new kitchen staff as required.
- Participate in daily cleaning tasks to maintain a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques is essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new skills within the culinary field.
