As part of our continued growth, we are looking to recruit skilled field-based technicians with a successful track record in planned, reactive and remedial maintenance, together with the installation of a wide variety of smoke ventilation equipment. The positions primarily cover Northern Ireland, with periodic travel to locations across the UK and Ireland.
Reporting to a Contract Manager the key tasks will include, but are not limited to:
· Carry out maintenance activities, as well as installations, across a range of smoke ventilation systems.
· Diagnose faults and perform effective troubleshooting on all types of smoke ventilation systems.
· Ensure all work is completed safely, to a high standard, within programme, and in line with budgets.
· Accurately update company management systems and maintain records of all work undertaken.
· Attend and successfully complete training, including PASMA, IPAF, and manufacturer specific training.
· Support the development of apprentices through mentoring, coaching, and on the job training.
· Be willing to work overtime and travel or stay away from home when required.
· Represent the company professionally, maintaining high standards of conduct and customer service.
· Undertake any other reasonable duties within the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
What you'll bring
As a Smoke Ventilation Technician your main skills and experience should include:
· Qualified, time served technician with a minimum of two years' post apprenticeship experience.
· Hold relevant industry recognised and manufacturer specific training and certifications.
· Capable of obtaining security clearances, including SC, CTC, and Enhanced AccessNI checks.
· Have a professional approach, with high standards of personal presentation and workmanship.
· Flexible in relation to travel requirements and in possession of a full, clean driving licence.
Salary will be dependent on experience.
