Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality meals and maintaining a clean, organised kitchen environment. Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards
- Support the catering team in setting up and clearing workstations before and after service
- Help with food safety procedures, including proper storage, handling, and labelling of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment to ensure hygiene compliance
- Assist with serving food during meal times, ensuring timely and courteous service
- Support with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Skills
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills and a friendly attitude when serving customers or colleagues
