Orthotic Technician

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technician looking to develop their career and join our team in Birmingham.
Ortho Europe is a leading manufacturer and distributor of prosthetic, orthotic and seating products. Our goal is to promote independence and quality of life by providing robust, innovative and effective devices to thousands of people who need mobility support.
Our site in Birmingham specialises in the manufacture of footwear, insoles, and the repair and adaptation of footwear.
Key Responsibilities:
· To comply with required health and safety standards as outlined by local site policy.
· To ensure that the department is kept up to the acceptable standards of housekeeping.
· Prepare and assemble/build orthoses as required by a clinical specification.
· To work to the required standard lead times against the works order.
· To deliver the right first-time Orthotics.
· Prepare and maintain production and inspection records, signing off on all jobs once completed within your specified manufacturing process.
· To play an active role in any improvement projects within your department.
· Inform Team Leader of any production/delivery discrepancies.
Skills and Experience:
Essential:
· Adaptable to learning new processes
· Comfortable with tools and machinery
Desirable:
· Prior manufacturing experience
· Experience in orthotic devices
Qualifications:
Essential:
· GCSE Level Maths and English or an alternative apprentice qualification
Desirable:
· Manufacturing apprenticeship or similar
