Join our team as a Trainee Waterproofer and kickstart your career in the construction and waterproofing industry! This role is an excellent opportunity to learn essential skills both specific to waterproofing but also wider transferable skills. In this position, you will gain hands-on experience, making this position perfect for individuals eager to build a foundation within the construction or waterproofing industry!
The specific location of work will vary depending on the job but we operate mostly within London and home counties. Traveling to and from these sites will vary between public transport and being picked up. There is also the possibility of a project further afield where staying away will be necessary.
Responsibilities
As a Trainee Waterproofer, you will work alongside current, more senior staff carrying out the day-to-day duties of a site operative.
These include but are not limited to...
- Site set up
- Substrate preparation
- Installation of waterproof membranes or coatings
- Remedial treatment to new and existing properties
- Structural repairs
- Using power tools & handling heavy materials
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
No prior experience is necessary! We will provide training both in-house and through our network of suppliers and trade bodies, at the end of this process a Level 2 NVQ can be achieved.
A driving license is preferred but not a requirement.
