Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dog Groomer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional grooming services to a variety of dog breeds, ensuring each pet looks and feels their best. Responsibilities
- Perform grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and brushing of dogs according to breed standards and customer preferences
- Assess each dog’s coat condition and skin health, providing appropriate treatments or recommendations
- Handle dogs safely and gently, ensuring their comfort throughout the grooming process
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of grooming tools, equipment, and work area
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding grooming needs, aftercare advice, and any concerns observed during grooming
- Manage appointments efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery while maintaining high standards of care
- Keep detailed records of services provided for each pet
Qualifications
- Prior experience in veterinary care or animal grooming is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of animal care practices and grooming techniques
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners
- Ability to handle dogs safely, including those that may be anxious or difficult to manage
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or bending during grooming sessions
- Compassionate attitude towards animals with a genuine interest in their wellbeing
- Organised with attention to detail to ensure high-quality grooming standards are maintained

Pay: £100.00-£400.00 per day
