Job Title: Bank Care Worker
Location: Waters View Residential Home, Little Oakley, Harwich
Reports to: Care Home Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking compassionate and reliable Bank Care Workers to join our team, providing high-quality care and support to our residents on an as-needed basis. This role offers flexibility, with the opportunity to cover shifts at short notice, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide person-centred care and support to residents, promoting dignity, independence, and well-being.
- Assist with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support residents with mobility and daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Administer medication in line with care plans and regulatory requirements (if trained and authorised).
- Engage residents in meaningful activities to enhance their quality of life.
- Monitor and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional well-being.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and organisational standards.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, residents’ families, and healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for residents.
- Adhere to safeguarding procedures, health and safety policies, and infection control measures.
- Be available to cover shifts at short notice when required.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a care role is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
- A compassionate and patient approach with a commitment to person-centred care.
- Ability to work flexibly, including covering last-minute shifts.
- Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.
- A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (desirable but not essential).
- Right to work in the UK.

Potential Shifts:
Cook 7:30am-1:30pm
Day Care 8am-8pm, 8am-2pm, 2pm-8pm
Night Care 8pm-8am
Senior Shifts: 7am-7:15pm or 7pm-7:15am
