About the role
As a Bank Care Assistant, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred care to our residents while helping us cover annual leave, sickness and additional staffing requirements.
You'll work as part of a supportive team, ensuring residents receive compassionate, respectful care at all times.
Your responsibilities
- Provide person-centred care that promotes dignity, independence and wellbeing.
- Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting.
- Support residents with eating, drinking and mobility where required.
- Administer medication if appropriately trained and authorised.
- Encourage residents to take part in meaningful activities.
- Monitor residents' wellbeing and report any concerns promptly.
- Complete care records accurately.
- Work closely with colleagues, families and healthcare professionals.
- Follow safeguarding, infection control and health & safety procedures.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a care setting is preferred.
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care or completion of the Care Certificate is essential.
- A compassionate, caring and reliable nature.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to cover shifts, sometimes at short notice.
- A genuine passion for caring for older people.
Available shifts
Our bank team may be offered a variety of shifts, including:
- Cook: 7:30am–1:30pm
- Day Care: 8:00am–2:00pm, 2:00pm–8:00pm or 8:00am–8:00pm
- Night Care: 8:00pm–8:00am
- Senior Care: 7:00am–7:15pm or 7:00pm–7:15am (subject to qualifications and experience)
