Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across various settings, including commercial, healthcare, and residential environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for cleanliness and organisation to contribute to a safe and welcoming environment. Prior experience in cleaning services is advantageous, but full training will be provided. All positions are paid, including internship roles.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitising surfaces
- Maintain high standards of hygiene in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Use appropriate cleaning products and equipment efficiently and safely
- Restock supplies and ensure cleaning materials are stored securely
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
- Follow organisational procedures for waste disposal and recycling
- Adapt to different cleaning requirements based on client specifications or specific environments such as hospitals or commercial premises
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred but not essential as training will be provided
- Experience working in hospital environments is considered an advantage
- Familiarity with health and safety standards related to cleaning practices is beneficial
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational skills and reliability are essential for success in this role
Pay: £12.71 per hour
