Join our dynamic team as a Poultry Veterinary Delivery Driver working 08:30-17:00 Thursday's and Friday's, where your energetic approach and dedication will ensure the safe and timely transport of poultry veterinary supplies to farms, clinics, and processing facilities. This vital role combines driving expertise with a passion for animal health, offering an engaging opportunity to contribute to the poultry industry’s well-being. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering essential products efficiently while maintaining excellent communication with clients and colleagues alike.
Duties
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver poultry veterinary supplies across designated routes
- Load and unload shipments with care, often involving heavy lifting and warehouse handling
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Communicate clearly with clients upon delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and keep detailed logs of deliveries and mileage
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to maintain a safe driving record
- Assist in warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory management and stock organization
- To collect laboratory samples from farms
- To assist veterinary surgeons with the collection of laboratory samples.
- To dispense POM-V medicines under the veterinary surgeons supervision.
- To promote goods and services provided by the practice.
Experience
- Proven delivery driver experience, preferably within commercial or logistics environments
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or handling heavy loads is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during loading and unloading processes
- Familiarity with driving regulations, safety standards, and route planning techniques
- Prior experience working in the poultry or veterinary supply industry is a plus but not required
