Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join the company on a maternity cover basis. This dynamic role offers an exciting opportunity to support our human resources functions, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations across the organisation. The ideal candidate will be passionate about people, engagement, possess excellent communication skills, and have a strong background in administrative tasks related to HR processes. The role is responsible for supporting managers and employees throughout the employee lifecycle, ensuring HR compliance, maintaining accurate records and promoting best practice in line with employment legislation and company procedures, plus supporting various HR initiatives to foster a positive workplace environment.
Duties
- Support managers with all aspects of employee relations, including absence management, performance management, disciplinary, grievance and capability matters.
- Coordinate recruitment and selection activities, including drafting job descriptions and adverts, arranging interviews and preparing offer documentation.
- Prepare employment contracts, onboarding documentation and induction programmes for new starters.
- Manage employee lifecycle administration, including starters, changes to employment and leavers.
- Maintain accurate HR records and systems in accordance with GDPR and employment legislation.
- Provide guidance and support to managers regarding company policies, procedures and employment legislation.
- Monitor legislative changes and support implementation of any required updates to company policies and practices.
- Support employee engagement, wellbeing and development initiatives across the business.
- Report any HR risks, concerns or compliance matters to the Managing Director.
Qualifications
- Level 3 or 5 CIPD qualification or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in an administrative role within human resources or related fields.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across all levels of the organisation.
- Knowledge of human resources policies, procedures, and employment law is advantageous.
- Ability to prioritise tasks efficiently while managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism, discretion and the ability to manage confidential information appropriately.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Teams.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
