We are seeking a reliable and motivated Re-Let Operative / Cleaning Operative to join our team immediately.
About the Role
As a Re-Let Operative, you will be responsible for the clearance, cleaning, and preparation of (void) properties. This includes interior deep cleaning, waste removal, garden tidy-ups, and ensuring properties meet client specifications. You will drive a company vehicle to multiple sites daily and follow set safety and operational procedures.
This role is hands-on, physically active, and ideal for individuals who enjoy practical work and daily variety.
Key Responsibilities
Property Cleaning & Clearance
- Carry out full cleans and clear-outs of properties.
- Remove furniture, carpets, underlay, lino, curtains, blinds, and personal items as required.
- Conduct thorough interior cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, floors, doors, windows, skirting boards, and units.
- Remove graffiti, contaminated items, hazardous waste, and general debris (PPE provided).
- Ensure all work meets client and company standards.
Outdoor & Environmental Tasks
- Remove garden waste, rubbish, rubble, and fly-tipping materials.
- Perform basic grounds maintenance including grass cutting, hedge trimming, and path sweeping.
Vehicle & Equipment Responsibilities
- Load, unload, and secure tools, equipment, and waste safely.
- Carry out basic vehicle checks (cleanliness, equipment levels, fluid checks).
- Drive a company vehicle to and from job sites.
Communication & Reporting
- Deliver and collect property keys securely and on schedule.
- Update job records accurately through internal systems.
- Maintain communication with supervisors and call centre when required.
- Report any issues, damage, or health and safety concerns promptly.
Additional Duties
- Support colleagues on-site to ensure jobs are completed safely and efficiently.
- Follow all health & safety procedures.
- Undertake any reasonable additional tasks required to support operational needs.
Requirements
- Full, valid driving licence (you will drive the company vehicle).
- Ability to perform physically demanding work safely.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and professional attitude.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Basic literacy and numeracy for completing paperwork and job entries.
- Ability to work across multiple sites daily and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Work Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 08:00–17:00
- Friday: 08:00–16:00
- Includes a 1-hour unpaid break per day
- Overtime or on-call duties may be required depending on business needs.
