Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bridal Alterations Specialist to join our bespoke bridal fashion house. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an alteration service to ensure bride’s gown, bride maidens and other wedding party members outfits fit perfectly. This role offers an opportunity to work in a creative and supportive environment. The position is paid and suitable for experienced seamstresses with a passion for bridal and Evening wear.
Duties
- Conduct fittings when required.
- Take precise measurements and make detailed alteration plans.
- Sew, adjust, and tailor wedding gowns, veils, and accessories with high attention to detail.
- Ensure all alterations are completed within agreed timeframes while maintaining quality standards.
Skills
- killed in handling delicate fabrics.
- Proven experience in dressmaking, tailoring, or bridal alterations.
- Excellent sewing skills with proficiency in hand sewing and machine techniques
- Strong understanding of fabric types, construction methods, and fitting principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and precision in measurements and stitching.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From £14.50 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 16 per week
