Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced self-employed Carpenter / Joiner to join our trusted network of subcontractors.
The Role
You'll be working on a variety of residential projects carrying out both first and second fix carpentry, as well as bespoke joinery installations.
Typical work includes:
- First fix carpentry
- Second fix carpentry
- Internal and external doors
- Skirting, architraves and mouldings
- Timber flooring
- Bespoke cabinetry and shelving
- Kitchens
- Roof structures and timber framing
- Staircase alterations
- Timber windows and doors
- General snagging and finishing works
Our projects often involve period and architect-designed homes, so a high level of finish and attention to detail is essential.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has at least 5 years' carpentry/joinery experience.
- Is fully self-employed.
- Has their own van and professional tools.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
- Is reliable, punctual and professional with clients.
- Can interpret drawings and work from specifications.
- Has a full UK driving licence.
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- Bespoke joinery
- Heritage or conservation work
- Timber window and door repairs
- Kitchen installations
- Structural timber work
- Working on high-end residential properties
